ALUMINÉ

The name Aluminé derives from the combination in the Mapuche language of Alum (shiny) and Mine or Minu (hollow). It is located at the Central West of the Province of Neuquén, between the Andes and the western margin of Aluminé River, about 340 kilometers from the capital city of Neuquén and 1560 kilometers of the Federal Capital. Its incredible landscape, its road infrastructure system and its geographical location, position it as the entrance gateway to the Patagonian Lakes Corridor and as the main Service and Distribution Tourist Center in the Pehuenia Zone.

This typically mountain village, full of tradition and custom that demonstrate in its streets and houses, the history, work and effort of its people. It has an estimated population of about 5,000 inhabitants in the urban area and it plays a primary role as a center for health services, security and justice, for a rural population estimated in 3000 more people, agglomerated in several Mapuche communities and nearby places.

The tourist infrastructure is appropriate and is an excellent alternative to base and know the north Patagonian lakes
