BAHÍA BLANCA

It is the most important city in southern Buenos Aires province, and its location makes it the hub of vial communication with the Patagonia. Several ports communicate with the city, which has turned it in a mainly industrial town over the years. Despite this, still there are preserved buildings from the beginning of the twentieth century, such as the Cathedral, Town Hall, the National Bank and the Municipal Theater.

When to go: The winters are very cold, but in spring and summer you can enjoy resorts nearby.

What to know: History and Natural Science Museums, Puerto Belgrano naval base (the largest in the country) and the nearby town of Punta Alta, one of the first places where Darwin landed in 1833, and where he found remains of extinct mammals.
