NEUQUÉN

Neuquén is a modern city situated on the shores of the Neuquén and Limay Rivers, which gather there to form the Black River. It has grown considerably in recent years, due to a strong internal migration encouraged by the oil industry and the cultivation of fruit trees.

It has resorts, campgrounds and good hotel offer. It is traditionally a place to stop for anyone coming from the north traveling to Patagonia, as the routes starting from Neuquén to the south are become more sinuous and are not recommended to do at night.
