It is the most important town of Peninsula Valdes and a necessary place for anyone wishing to make contact with the incredible and unique manifestations of nature that can be seen from here.

There are good hotels but with few vacancies, it is advisable to make reservations in advance. A more exclusive alternative is rural tourism in placements that offer all the comforts, such as San Lorenzo, the Elvira, the Ernestina, and so on.

For touring carefully across the peninsula you can take the PR1 northward to connect to the right with the PR2 until the Integral Reserve Peninsula Valdes, in the entrance you will have to pay the ticket that enable you to visit several Sites within the Peninsula. Please note that the inner roads of the peninsula are all gravel, we recommend extreme caution and respect your life.

You can make very varied excursions, all of them sufficiently promoted in the place. If you like diving Punta Pardelas is the ideal place. The Salina Grande is another must-see place. If you want to enjoy the sight of whales from boats, you have many operators in different docks. The best time to see whales is during the months of September and October, when birth occur, as in late December they return to the sea
