It is the second most important city of the province of Mendoza. It is settled over a rocky prairie next to Atuel and Diamante rivers, which have given a unique fertility to this zone and also allowed the development of many farms dedicated to vineyards, olive and fruit exploitation. The great volume of the rivers makes them ideal for the practice of rafting and other aquatic sports.
