SAN RAFAEL

It is the second most important city of the province of Mendoza. It is settled over a rocky prairie next to Atuel and Diamante rivers, which have given a unique fertility to this zone and also allowed the development of many farms dedicated to vineyards, olive and fruit exploitation. The great volume of the rivers makes them ideal for the practice of rafting and other aquatic sports. City’s architecture is modern and it is complemented by wide and beautiful boulevards and wooded streets. Touristic offer is very complete.

Places to go: Natural History Municipal Museum, tours to cellars (Suter, Bianchi, Lavaqué and many more). Cerro Bola hot springs (near the most important uranium quarry of Argentina) and all adventure activities offered in Valle Grande, being rafting through the rapids of Atuel’s canyon the most famous of all.
