SAN SALVADOR DE JUJUY

A city rich in history, you can begin touring it from the weapons square, where you can find the cathedral church (1761-1765), the Cabildo (nowadays is the Provincial Police headquarter) and the Government House (1907 -1921). From balconies of the Cabildo, in the year 1812, General Manuel Belgrano introduced the National Flag to the people and the troops gathered in the square. The flag, which was then blessed by the Rev. Gorriti in the Cathedral, was donated to the people of Jujuy and today is kept in the Hall of the Flag in the Government House.
