This Villa situated among the mountains is endowed with natural beauty and high cultural value. Its name derives from the word Diaguita Taktillakta (Town of Splendid entry). Until 1943 (the year in which was built the road that winds the mountainside) access could only come at the back of mule. It is currently the main tourist center of Tucuman. It is located 107 km from the capital of the province and 1976 mts above sea level, the last 60 km are traveled along a path heavenly surrounded by the so-called Selva Tucumana (Tucuman’s Jungle). Tafí is an excellent combination of mountains, rivers and a climate that invites you to visit at any time of year, as their average temperatures are 26º C in summer and 16º C in winter....
